Bikes, Lanterns & Laughter: A Hoi An Engagement
“This shoot stayed with me for a long time because it never felt like a typical photoshoot. Everything happened very naturally and honestly. We walked through the old town, rode bicycles, stopped to eat street food, and had coffee along the way. It felt more like spending a relaxing day in Hoi An together than working on a shoot.
What I remember most is how genuinely they laughed together while wearing traditional Vietnamese outfits. Their smiles, the way they walked side by side, and how comfortable they were with each other felt very real and unforced. Hoi An played a big role in that feeling. The old town offers so many special experiences: colourful streets, slow bike rides, lantern lights, and sitting in a rooftop coffee shop to enjoy a panoramic view. These moments helped them relax and forget about the camera.
Those happy expressions, mixed with the colourful atmosphere of the old town, this is made this shoot so memorable and left a deep impression on me.” – Flytographer Trieu in Hoi An

Not only were they the sweetest couple ever, but Sara’s reaction to the proposal was also perfection, and all their friends and family were hiding to celebrate with them immediately afterwards! Aloha & Ohana: A Multigenerational Morning in Hawaii
“This was one of my very last shoots on Oahu, after 5 years of living in Hawaii. Inger’s family was so kind & genuine, and we shot at the beach that I spent countless mornings walking with my husband and dog. Such a wonderful aloha spirit all around! The perfect end to an amazing season of life!” – Flytographer Natalie in San Clemente

Maps & Dreams: Welcoming Their Little Adventurer in Los Angeles
“I first photographed a maternity session for Katherine and Jake last year, so it was such an honour when they reached out again for a newborn session once their sweet son Mason arrived! It was a hometown session at their home in Santa Monica. Mason’s nursery features maps of the world and the national parks – a perfect theme for a future little traveller! I love that Flytographer can capture all of these life stages and memories for our clients.” – Flytographer Allie in Los Angeles

Beautiful Sakura Babymoon Memories in Japan
“This session was at Philosopher’s Path, which is normally lined with tourists, but we planned their babymoon photos for early in the morning to capture it with no other people around. The soft morning lighting complemented the blossoms perfectly, and Kristle and Bruce were super cute!” – Flytographer Coo and Yurika in Kyoto

50 Shoots & Counting in Moab: An Epic Cross-Country Road Trip
“This was a fun and adventurous shoot with a couple that has done nearly 50 Flytographer shoots! I heard amazing things about them, and they all proved true when I met them! We wandered through their campground [Ulum Moab Resort] before hiking to a nearby arch and climbing all the way up and into the arch. And the kicker? I was 6 months pregnant. I made it to the top, they were so helpful, and the photos turned out so beautiful. It was a magical and wonderful experience all around!” – Flytographer Caitlin in Grand Junction

Like Long-Lost Friends: Saira’s Porto Adventure
“Saira came to me as a last-minute booking, but from the very beginning, she was one of the kindest clients I had all year. She seemed a little shy at first, but the moment we met, it felt like talking to a long-lost friend.
Booking a session just for herself felt like such an empowering move. I could see she was doing something beautiful for her, and I knew I wanted to capture that feeling. She knew exactly what she wanted, yet she gave me complete creative freedom to guide her and shape the shoot.
By the end, I was the one walking away feeling grateful and inspired. Crossing paths with someone like Saira reminded me why I do this work. When she later wrote her review, it brought back every memory and put the biggest smile on my face. I still go back to it often on days when I need a little pick-me-up.” – Flytographer Joana in Porto

Rain or Shine: A Copenhagen Proposal at Nyhavn
“It was memorable because so much work went into it, and in the end, family was also there to celebrate with us, meeting us at Nyhavn. It rained, but nothing could put a damper on their big moment, and the photos are one of my favourite galleries. It has since helped me book more engagement sessions that I find to be so special and love being a part of.” – Flytographer Reannan in Copenhagen

Sparkling Eyes & Smiling Hearts in Playa del Carmen
“Danielle is a breast cancer survivor. Usually, when I get inquiries from clients celebrating that they’ve passed through tough moments, I like to avoid dwelling on the topic and instead make them feel the experience is as normal as it could be. By the time I reached out to her, I made sure she knew I was ready and excited for her shoot. That’s when she brought up the topic herself, sharing that she didn’t feel pretty because her hair was short due to the process she had gone through. My immediate reply was, “I didn’t know I was having the honour to photograph a ninja warrior.” She laughed, and from that moment on, that’s how I decided to see her.
When I drove to Playa Del Carmen and met them, I couldn’t help but notice a beautiful spark in her eyes and a joyful smile – it was amazing. I made sure to keep her smiling because it was so natural that I couldn’t stop looking at it. Her children and husband shared the same joy, which felt so close to me, as if they were part of my inner circle.
I couldn’t hold back all that I was thinking about her eyes, their spark, and her smile. I would dare to say she somehow shared her will to live life fully with me. After that, we hugged each other, and it was the warmest hug I have ever received.
Little did she know I had been going through a very tough year myself. Having the life opportunity of meeting her and her family, and knowing her backstory, made me realize that no matter what you go through, you can always keep a smile and sparkling eyes to face any difficult time.” – Flytographer Claudia in Playa del Carmen

Expansive Engagement Memories in Cape Town
“I wasn’t planning on accepting bookings since it was my birthday, but they wrote such a beautiful message in the inquiry form that I couldn’t say no! And I’m so glad I didn’t, so I could capture these beautiful images for them. Hugs, high-fives, and happy dances from sunny South Africa!” – Flytographer Nadine in Cape Town

Mud, Laughter & Magic: A Family Adventure in Scottsdale
“This session was such a highlight for me. Lianne had warned me ahead of time that her boys were not excited about photos, so we were already laughing before we even started. We chose the Salt River – normally gorgeous, but after five days of rain, it turned into a full-on mud spa. We ditched our shoes on higher ground and tiptoed through the mud to get to the good spots. The boys were a little grossed out for about five seconds… then their inner wild kids came alive. They ended up hopping in the river to rinse off and just completely leaned into the adventure. Their smiles were real, their laughter was nonstop, and the joy in their gallery is exactly why I love what I do.” – Flytographer Sarah in Scottsdale

Big Ben & Red Phone Booths: Jesyka’s London Solo Session
“This session was kind of an accident when I got a last-minute booking request from Jesyka after late morning on the day. I was finishing my other shoot and already on my way home when I got the message. But since I was still out in London, I said I could meet her, but knowing that Central London had a major event happening, and that meant we had to improvise and compromise on where we shoot. One of her must-have shot (since she’s an influencer), was the Big Ben and red phone booth and that particular shot took the longest because of the wait, though we got the shots and I managed to mitigate the crowd problems (late afternoon) by using angles and got closer, Jesyka was also very experienced in posing and all I had to do was making sure my framing looked nice for her. It was an unforgettable session because of the story behind the shoot, how we got together and finishing some of my favourite photos this year.” – Flytographer Jimmy in London
