Meet Kari in New York City

I love to introduce other travelers to this vibrant city while hanging out and taking photos. I adore real emotion above all else. There is nothing more important to me when I take photos than helping people remember how they felt while they were traveling (not just where they went or what they saw). I want my clients to look back at their photos and remember the awe they felt the first time they stumbled out of the subway up into the middle of Times Square or the surreal moment of shock upon seeing the New York skyline in person after years of seeing it in movies!

Three Things

  1. I've been a full-time photographer since 2007, and have lived and worked all over the US, France, and Switzerland.
  2. I cannot live without good food. Whether it's a hot loaf of multi-grain bread handmade by my husband, a four course meal at Pil Pil, or a glass of wine on a terrace at sunset... I just love sharing good food with wonderful people.
  3. I'm obsessed with storytelling. I've been photographing other people's lives as a way to tell their stories since 2007. But I love telling my own stories through writing novels and illustrating children's books. I can't wait to tell the story of your New York visit!

I had such a wonderful experience shooting with Kari! From the very beginning, she was incredibly warm and easy to talk to and made me feel completely comfortable. It honestly felt less like a photoshoot and more like walking around the city with a friend. She has such a great eye for photography and knows exactly where to go to find beautiful locations, backgrounds and little spots that I would never have noticed myself. Kari was wonderful to work with from start to finish! Her communication leading up to our photo shoot was excellent, and she provided us with plenty of helpful information so we knew exactly what to expect. During the shoot, she was incredibly easy to talk to and made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. She was especially great with our kids, which made such a difference for our family.
