Meet Kari in New York City

I love to introduce other travelers to this vibrant city while hanging out and taking photos. I adore real emotion above all else. There is nothing more important to me when I take photos than helping people remember how they felt while they were traveling (not just where they went or what they saw). I want my clients to look back at their photos and remember the awe they felt the first time they stumbled out of the subway up into the middle of Times Square or the surreal moment of shock upon seeing the New York skyline in person after years of seeing it in movies!

Three Things

  1. I've been a full-time photographer since 2007, and have lived and worked all over the US, France, and Switzerland.
  2. I cannot live without good food. Whether it's a hot loaf of multi-grain bread handmade by my husband, a four course meal at Pil Pil, or a glass of wine on a terrace at sunset... I just love sharing good food with wonderful people.
  3. I'm obsessed with storytelling. I've been photographing other people's lives as a way to tell their stories since 2007. But I love telling my own stories through writing novels and illustrating children's books. I can't wait to tell the story of your New York visit!

We were so very happy with Kari! She is an extremely talented photographer and we will cherish the photos she took of our family in NYC for years to come! She was very patient with me asking several questions ahead of time and even helped me choose a location when I was anxious about wind, etc. She’s very skilled, able to take photos in busy spots, sunny spots, etc. She knows exactly where to place you so that it looks like you’ve got NYC to yourselves! She was also just a kind human to spend time with and gave us restaurant recommendations, which we used. Highly recommend choosing Kari as your Flytographer!
