🍟 Best Place to Eat: “We loved Relais de l’Entrecôte. Steak frites are the only thing on the menu, and it’s unlimited (perfect if you have hungry teenagers!). Get there before it opens – they don’t take reservations and the lines are long! Also, no Paris trip is complete without a trip to Angelina for hot chocolate.”
🧺 Best Thing to Do: “Our absolute favourite thing to do in Paris is buy picnic provisions at Rue Cler and make our way to the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower for a picnic.”

The long flight to Tokyo can be taxing, especially on little ones. Make your arrival as easy as possible either by booking a boutique hotel near the airport, allowing your family to get a good night’s sleep before taking the trip to Tokyo, which exceeds an hour, or by booking a shuttle from the airport to your Tokyo hotel, putting off maneuvering through public transportation until you’re feeling well rested. It’s all about wellness on your mother-daughter trips! - Stay near one of Tokyo’s transport hubs 🚉
Staying near one of Tokyo’s major hubs will make getting around the city even easier. Stay near the Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Shinbashi, Shinjuku, or Tokyo stops for the most well-connected areas of the city. With each fare-paying adult, two kids between the ages of one and six can ride Tokyo’s public transportation for free. Infants under one always ride free of charge. - Pack light 🧳
It’s easy to purchase necessities for a girls’ trip in Tokyo, so packing light is completely doable. Many of Tokyo’s subway stations don’t have elevators, so you’ll need to be able to carry what you bring with you up and down stairs if you take public transportation.
