1. Stroll Along the Canal Saint-Martin

Episode 10 of the final season starts with a voice-over of our girl, Belly Conklin, telling her mom, Laurel, that she will be staying in France over the holidays (cue the Bal-Musette! 🎶). We love the quirky reality of Belly’s life in the French capital at the start of the episode, but before Stove Top stuffing and Belly’s best efforts to communicate with her roommates, what first caught our eye were the charming sights of the Canal Saint-Martin. The Canal Saint-Martin flows through some of the most vibrant neighbourhoods in Paris, dotted with iconic bridges, best enjoyed by foot, boat, and our personal favourite— sitting or picnicking 🧺 amongst the Parisians.

2. Get Fresh Fruit from Primeurs de Lancry

Speaking of picnics! Located in 10th Arrondissement, Primeurs de Lancry is the market where Belly buys an apple and later a plum. Picking up fresh fruit is an integral part of a Parisian picnic (everything literally tastes better here) and one of the simplest ways to look and feel like a true Parisian inside and out. 🍎🙃

3. Order Croissants at Du Pain et des Idées

Du Pain et des Idéess serves traditional French pastries and their signature “pain des amis” bread. Du Pain et des Idéess has been around since 1875, and some have hailed their croissants as the best in Paris (sign us up for that taste test, s’il vous plaît and merci)! We agree with Belly that among the many cafes, this one is a perfect destination. 🥐

4. See a Motion Picture at Écoles Cinéma Club

Located in the Latin Quarter, Écoles Cinéma Club is where Belly works her second job. This movie theater is a real place and opened as a twin screen arthouse cinema in 1977. Although not what you instinctively think to do while in Paris, die-hard TSITP fans should check out what’s playing at the Écoles Cinéma Club. 📽️

5. Run Down La Coulée Verte René-Dumont

The La Coulée Verte René-Dumont (also known as the Promenade Plantée) was the inspiration for New York’s famous High Line. This beautiful elevated greenway 🌳 is located on an old railway line and pictured in one of the Conrad love letter scenes. Located in in the Bastille district of Paris’s 12th arrondissement, the La Coulée Verte René-Dumont is a perfect place for a run or stroll.

6. Have a Glass of Wine at Coquelicot Bistrot

Coquelicot Bistrot is the filming location where Belly works and is a real Parisian cafe. This restaurant is special to Belly and Benito… as well as to the rest of us who dream of a Parisian Christmas Eve with falling snowflakes and twinkling holiday lights. 😜 Might we recommend a stop in for a glass of wine on a magical holiday (or any other day in Paris!)? 🍷

7. Scooter Ride to Places des Vosges

Speaking of Christmas Eve, Places des Vosges is Paris’s oldest planned public square, and is where Benito takes Belly on his scooter (it’s also gorgeous year-round). 🎄 If you do happen to be looking for wintertime ideas, discover the Best Things to Do in Paris in December.

8. Admire Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre

For inquiring minds, 23 Rue de Chevalier de la Barre is the exact location outside Belly’s new apartment where Conrad sits to wait for her to come home in The Summer I Turned Pretty finale. Although most of us aren’t going to land an apartment overlooking the Sacré-Cœur, that doesn’t mean we can’t dream, oui? Oui! 👍 Montmartre is the city’s most well-known neighbourhood to wander in Paris, particularly for those dreaming of a life of art and history steeped in culture (pun intended- those hills are no joke).

9. Do a Self-Guided Tour at The Louvre

During part of their date, Belly and Conrad go to Louvre together— the largest art museum in the world, and one of the city’s most iconic sights. The Louvre is classic and transcending whether you’re solo, or with the love of your life. 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

10. Explore the Palace of Versailles

Kindly push aside the wildly unrealistic timeline of their date and explore the Palace of Versailles! Although Belly and Conrad make a brief (and oddly quiet) pitstop here, we highly encourage you to allot much more time for both transit and exploration at the Palace of Versailles! Give yourself ample time to see the main Palace (including the Hall of Mirrors 🪞), vast Gardens, and other stunning areas at the Palace of Versailles.

11. Walk Along the Seine at Place Louis-Aragon

Last but certainly not least, the Place Louis-Aragon rests at the tip of the Île Saint-Louis island along the Seine, and is the location where where Belly and Conrad walked along the Seine… and finally kissssss! (Bonrad at last!)

Capturing Memories in Paris

Channel your inner Lola Tung and set yourself in Paris as you enjoy these filming locations IRL. Although The Summer I Turned Pretty season has come to a close, it’s technically not THE END of the Fisher brothers, Belly Conklin, and this love story (we’re looking at you, The Summer I Turned Pretty movie!); the series finale is past, but our hearts are still pining. 💓
