So, you’re dreaming of an uber-intimate proposal — you know, just the two of you — but you want the big moment captured, too. Here’s proof that hiring a proposal photographer doesn’t mean sacrificing the intimacy of your big moment.

We totally get it. When you picture the moment you pop the question, you’re picturing your partner and yourself, and… well, not much else. After all, deciding to spend the rest of your life together is a moment meant for just the two of you, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up the idea of having your special moment captured by a proposal photographer. Don’t believe us? Read on for Marcos and Wendy’s beautifully private proposal, perfectly — and discreetly — captured by Flytographer Kelly in San Francisco.

HOW THEY MET

“Just before New Year’s Eve, we both happened to be up past midnight and playing around on an online forum. After a few one-liners to one another, we got pretty serious and started sending two, then three-liners. Two weeks later, we met up in person, went to dinner, and started dating. From the first message to our first encounter and even now, her sincere kindness has struck me as the most beautiful thing I’ve ever had the honour of witnessing.”

SPECIAL LOCATION

“Our proposal location was both scenic and secluded. I wanted to propose in a beautiful place, but I also didn’t want to put on a show for anyone other than my partner.”

THE BIG DAY

“Everything went better than I had anticipated. I was really hoping to propose in private as I was anxious enough, and I think I succeeded! My partner’s reaction really boosted my confidence throughout the duration of the proposal. Our photographer Kelly did such a great job that it was almost like my partner and I were all alone during the proposal.

“I was nervous enough proposing, but Kelly’s guidance in directing us and being so candid really eased the tension I was feeling. The pictures she took encapsulated the moment so well that they instantly put a smile on our families’ faces.” – Marcos
