Too often we hear sad tales of people not having any good photos of their mothers; time has slipped by and now it’s too late. This year, we are on a mission at Flytographer to get more moms in their family photos. We’ve assembled six of our favourite posts that do exactly that. Click on the post title to see more of each story, and be sure to give your mom (or her memory) some extra love this year. ❤ ❤ ❤
Maria moved from Australia to Rome, and then got together with her siblings to give her mother a plane ticket to visit. The pair met with Flytographer Roberta and enjoyed laughs & love while touring this timeless city.
“For my mum’s 60th birthday, my siblings and I surprised her with a trip to Rome to visit me. Roberta captured the fun we had during this time together and the photos are simply stunning. These are special moments that have been captured and are now memories for us to keep forever. And an amazing souvenir for mum to take home from her trip to Roma! I can’t stop talking about Flytographer – I won’t travel without them in future!” – Maria
On a special vacation many parents and children only dream about, daughter Taylor and mother Ann travelled and volunteered around the world together for nearly a year. On a quick break between projects in China and Morocco, this beautiful duo took the opportunity to document a slice of their grand adventure with Flytographer Gonçalo during a stop in Paris.
“We had a wonderful experience with Flytographer – from booking to the shoot to receiving our photos. It was wonderful to document such a special mother/daughter moment, and we’ll definitely be booking with Flytographer again.” – Taylor
Julie and her family took a break from Disneyland and met Flytographer Katie for a fun shoot at Santa Monica pier. Her very worthy goal: getting herself in the family photos!
“Anticipating the excitement of this family vacation and realizing just how fast our children are growing up, I wanted a keepsake of this special time together. And as the family photographer, I really hoped to be be included in these vacation keepsakes. I’m just thrilled to actually be in family pictures!” – Julie
Jean took a reunion trip to Europe with her lovely mother and hired Flytographer for Milan, their last stop in Italy. The pair met up with Flytographer Paola, who documented all the fun and funny moments enjoyed by two people who share that special family bond.
“Though I know that I will be travelling with [my mother] more often in the future, I don’t really know for certain when will that be. What I know for sure though, is that I have these perfect souvenirs from that lovely afternoon in Milan that no Gucci, Prada, or Hermès bag can ever contain.” – Jean
Carmen’s brother gifted her a trip to Hawaii, and she took her beautiful daughter Mirabella to capture the special love between them. They met Flytographer Erin for a sunset shoot on the golden sandy beaches of Maui; sightings of turtles, whales and waterfalls only added to the magic.
“The mother-daughter trip we took is a highlight of my life. I can’t thank you enough for capturing the love, tenderness and connection we experienced together for our week in Maui. We created memories that will transcend whatever puberty brings. She’ll always remember the feeling of closeness we shared. For that, I’m deeply grateful.” – Carmen
Dara’s parents had very generously gifted the whole family – 8 in total with partners – with a once-in-a-lifetime holiday trip to NYC for the holidays, gathering them all from their respective cities around Australia. Flytographer Johnny expertly captured this family’s sense of humour and closeness while enjoying Times Square and Central Park.
“We wanted to show our appreciation for this all-expenses-paid trip, and so came up with the GENIUS idea of hiring Flytographer to candidly capture our New York experience for mum & dad. The whole experience was an absolute highlight for us all…EXACTLY what I had envisaged as a timeless gift for my parents! I’m going to turn our photos into a coffee table book so they can remember the trip forever.” – Dara
