JANUARY
Featured Destination: French Alps
Start the year with altitude and après in the French Alps, enjoying world-class skiing and snowboarding. There are plenty of family-friendly resorts in the region, such as the high-end Megève, where Emily Cooper escaped Paris for a ski break. 🥐 😉
Annecy, just a short hop away, is an ideal base. This old town is often called the “Venice of the Alps,” with canals that invite unhurried wandering and a touch of romance. Still something of a hidden gem, it’s a smart choice for avoiding Christmas peak prices in France.

- San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, is home to El Centro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that boasts stunning colonial architecture. A walking tour through its cobblestone streets is an absolute delight.
- Tofino and Ucluelet are neighbouring towns set between the Pacific and a temperate rainforest on Vancouver Island, Canada, both shaped by a laid-back rhythm. Winter brings storm-watching season and long walks along wind-lashed beaches. 🌊

FEBRUARY
Featured Destination: Singapore
Often called the “Garden City,” Singapore boasts an abundance of parks and greenery not only at street level but also rising skyward in high-rise form. 🌳 The city stands out for its architecture, from otherworldly landmarks such as the Supertrees to the distinctly colourful Peranakan shophouses, unique to the region. The food scene is just as mind-blowing, composed of Chinese, Malay, and Indian influences.
Fly tip: head straight to the hawker centres. You really cannot go wrong. 🍜

- Barbados, in the Caribbean, delivers powdery sands, clear waters, and excellent snorkelling. Plus the minor detail that it is the birthplace of Rihanna, which, frankly, seals the deal. 👑
- Salt Lake City, Utah, is in peak season in February, thanks to excellent skiing. Cozy downtown streets, dotted with hipster cafes and art galleries, round out the snowy escape with a cultural edge.

MARCH
Featured Destination: Melbourne, Australia
In the Land Down Under, Melbourne should be on your radar of top travel destinations of 2026, especially in March. 🇦🇺 The beginning of autumn sets the tone for days moving between art galleries and cafes, and for enjoying some relaxed seaside time at St Kilda. Other spots trending high in Australia include Adelaide, home to some of the country’s best wineries, and Tasmania, an island unto itself that rounds out the journey with national parks and fantastic road trips.

- Reykjavik, Iceland, draws creative buffs with its edgy design scene. Wellness and nature lovers also appreciate the city’s proximity to untouched landscapes and natural hot springs. March often brings periods of stronger geomagnetic activity, meaning better chances of catching the northern lights. ✨
- Big Sky, close to Bozeman, is quickly carving out a name as one of the US’ most attractive ski destinations. Why? It still carries a great small-town “Rockies” vibe and feels refreshingly uncrowded. That doesn’t mean the après scene isn’t lively, though.

APRIL
Kauai, Hawaii
Is slowing down on your travel bucket list? Then Kauai should be a top travel destination. This is where Hawaii feels delightfully sleepy and unhurried. 🌺 The island invites outdoor adventure with its astounding natural beauty, from Waimea Canyon to the cliffs of the Na Pali Coast. Beyond the scenery, it brims with local crafts, farm tours focused on sustainability, and genuinely Hawaiian cultural heritage experiences. April is especially well suited, with lighter crowds and generally sunnier weather.
Fly tip: Kauai is Hawaii’s rainiest island, so showers are part of the deal, even in April. Pack rain gear and roll with it. The lush, rain-fed landscapes are exactly what make the island so fascinating.

- Marbella, in Spain’s Costa del Sol, blends vibrant culture with easy Mediterranean rhythms. This is where Europe’s aristocracy has summered for generations. Enough said.

MAY
Sardinia, Italy
Italy’s largest island, Sardinia is simply perfect in May. Temperatures rise, yet the island still feels pleasantly calm. With direct flights from cities like Paris, London, and Frankfurt, the capital, Cagliari, is one of Europe’s up-and-coming destinations, with new boutique hotels popping up alongside its medieval charm. Beyond the city, there are salt-worn fishing villages, ancient archaeological sites, and a wild interior that begs exploring. 🎣

JUNE
Featured Destination: The Dolomites, Italy
The Dolomites may have their moment during the Winter Olympics, but summer deserves equal attention. The warmer months carpet the dramatic landscape in wildflowers. Add glassy alpine lakes, churches crowned with towers, and hilltop castles, and the setting edges firmly into fairytale territory. 😍 To make everything more special, German and Italian influences converge here, creating the best of both worlds.

JULY
Featured Destination: Oslo, Norway
Oslo is a destination that still flies a little under the radar, but the city is one of the best places to put on your 2026 travel list. From visiting City Hall, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded each year, to overlooking the harbour from the sloping roof of the city’s opera house, urban exploration abounds. 👀 With July bringing the midnight sun across much of Arctic Norway, nature lovers will find easy nature escapes far and near across the country.

AUGUST
Featured Destination: Atlantic Canada
History hits differently with a sea breeze, especially in summer along Canada’s Atlantic coast. Halifax anchors the region with walkable waterfronts and maritime heritage. 🇨🇦 The city has strong connections to the Titanic through its role as the ultimate resting place for many who perished. The Titanic graveyard, along with several museums and collections in town, offers a chance to pay respect to the tragedy and see it through a different lens.
A short journey away, and with a gentler rhythm, you can learn about Canadian history in Prince Edward Island, especially in Charlottetown. While there, don’t miss heading out on cycle rides and coastal walks. 🚲

SEPTEMBER
Featured Destination: Zanzibar, Tanzania
Zanzibar is a destination that earns its appeal on multiple fronts: palm-lined beaches, turquoise waters, and white sand set the scene, but it’s the island’s layered history as a trading crossroads between Portugal, Oman, and the UK that gives it depth. Swahili, Arab, and Indian influences shape daily life, while the UNESCO-listed old town grounds the experience in place and time.
Fly tip: While in the area, venture further inland to experience Tanzanian safari tours. They are among the best in Africa. 🦓

OCTOBER
Featured Destination: Cappadocia, Turkey
2026 might be the year you tick off one of the world’s most striking landscapes: Cappadocia, known for its fairy chimneys, cave dwellings, and rock-cut churches. Love Valley lives up to its name, with unusual rock formations rising among vineyards and fruit trees, while nearby Rose Valley and Red Valley offer hikes through narrow canyons and sculpted stone. 🥾
While in Turkey, extending your stay to the Mediterranean city of Bodrum makes sense. That’s where Istanbulites head for the sea, and where days move between lively tavernas and historic sites tucked into the old town’s alleyways.

NOVEMBER
Featured Destination: Mexico City, Mexico
November is an ideal time to visit Mexico City. Sunny days and fewer crowds make it a pleasure to explore its ancient roots as the seat of the Aztec Empire, as well as its energetic role as a modern capital. You can explore the cobblestone streets of Coyoacán, where Frida Kahlo spent much of her life, then move on to the grandeur of the Zócalo and nearby Teotihuacan. Evenings are best saved for chic dining in Condesa or Polanco. 🍸 As if that weren’t enough, Día de los Muertos takes over at the start of the month. 🌻

Featured Destination: Vienna, Austria

The city stays true to its own rhythm even during peak season, noticeably gentler than most major capitals. Beyond the festivities, Vienna invites you to soak in the splendour of its imperial past, perhaps by dressing the part at the Vienna State Opera — a grand finale to a year on the road. 🎼 😉
