Taking the kids to NYC? We’ve rounded up the top 5 things to do with kids while you’re there.

“We travel internationally pretty extensively as a family, but haven’t traveled much in the U.S. We decided to explore some new states, learn a bit of U.S. history and celebrate our son’s 4th birthday on this weeklong trip. NYC with kids was a little overwhelming, but so fun! We saw so many iconic spots. Our favourites were Top of the Rock, Times Square, The Sea Glass Carousel in Battery Park and strolling through Brooklyn!” – Amy

1. Top of the Rock
For a bird’s eye view of NYC, head to Top of the Rock. Try the interactive Beam Walk before you take the Sky Shuttle to the top. Tip: The glass panelled Radiance Wall has little animals and figurines hiding inside. See how many you can spot!

2. Times Square
Times Square is, of course, an experience in itself, but once you’re there, there are tons of fun places to explore with kids. Head to M&M’s World for as much candy-coated goodness as you can handle. You can even print your own customized candies.

3. Seaglass Carousel
The Seaglass Carousel is no ordinary carousel. Hop on this aquatic carousel for a ride on an iridescent fish and you’ll be transported to a world under the sea with lights, sights and sounds.

4. Brooklyn
Flytographer Falcon shared her awesome guide to Brooklyn recently with tons of great suggestions on what to eat, see and do. Family-friendly spots include Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, a walking tour of The Bushwick Collective, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Prospect Park.

5. Flytographer shoot
A family trip to NYC is the perfect excuse to book a Flytographer shoot with one of our amazing NYC Flytographers! It’s not just a photo shoot – it’s a fun experience and you’ll end up with, in our humble opinion, the best souvenir ever.
