Arrive Hotel – The first of several hotel projects from a former Facebook employee, you can sit in their pool cabanas or swim, even if you’re not a guest. Sliders, salads, tacos and an Instagram-worthy ice cream parlour await.

You can buy a rooftop pool day pass or enjoy evening cocktails at the new The Rowan Hotel with spectacular views and Palm Spring’s nicest hotel lobby.
DINE+DRINKS
The Parker Hotel – With its dramatic white sun-screened entrance and sprawling gardens designed by the late, great Givenchy, it’s one of the best places to spot celebs and supes. The newest bar, Counter-Reformation, serves small French dishes and warm baguettes and is tucked away in the back of the garden.

WorkShop Kitchen – In the heart of the Uptown Design District, this modern restaurant in a former movie theatre serves wood-fired vegetables and a great Sunday brunch with bottomless Mimosas. Make sure to reserve.
SHOP
People say the outlet shopping at Cabazon (25 minutes from Palm Springs) is the best in the U.S., serving up a mix of fashion-forward brands like Gucci, Saint Laurent, Rag & Bone, J Crew, Prada, Jimmy Choo, and James Perse.

Elizabeth and Prince – Everything you need to put together that ultra-cool So-Cal look, from distressed denim to Coachella-style peasant dresses.
Trina Turk & Mr. Turk – Bold and bright patterns for wardrobe and home inspired by the ’50s and ’60s. Think embroidered cushions, floral bikinis, patterned pool towels and retro bar sets.

SPA
L’Horizon is a beautiful adult-only mid-century hotel renovated by one of Tom Ford’s interior designers. The open-air spa offers massages and facials in four private cabanas in a circular garden. Treatments include a healthy poolside cocktail.
H20 Closet – A modern apothecary with everything to turn your Airbnb into your own day spa.
HIKE
Hiking in Murray Canyon to the Seven Sisters waterfalls (approximately 2 hours of a flat hike) will take you through spectacular wide-open desert landscapes and fan palm groves. Pool time, earned!
