Sunshine, stylish spas, hip mid-century modern architecture…and tacos – we’ve curated the perfect weekend away in Palm Springs.

FRIDAY

Make Saguaro Hotel your fun, colourful home away from home. This hip hotel has amenities like a pool-side bar serving food and tropical drinks, daily yoga classes, desert cruiser bikes and an in-house spa. It would be perfectly reasonable to not want to leave for the entire weekend.

Ok, you probably should see what else Palm Springs has to offer, so get out for dinner at King’s Highway. In true California fashion, this trendy diner at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club caters to a variety of diets, with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. You can’t go wrong with tacos. That’s our motto, at least.

SATURDAY

Start your Saturday with Cheeky’s famous brunch, served from 8 am – 2 pm. Fresh squeezed juice and a bacon bar (or flight) are just the beginning. Choose from inspired weekly rotating breakfast creations like coconut waffles, chilaquiles or a scramble bursting with fresh veggies.

Now that you’re all fueled up for the day, take in Palm Springs’ views with a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Then, enjoy a hike on one of the many trails accessible from the tramway’s drop-off point.

Post-hike, head to Norma’s at the stunning Parker Palm Springs for a refreshing smoothie. Then, it’s back to your stylish digs to treat your feet to a massage or pedicure.

For dinner, Reservoir’s clean, wooden interior is just the place to share fresh seafood starters or So-Cal mains like the sesame-crusted tuna burger or salmon in banana leaf. The mountain views and outdoor pool are just part of the draw.

Keep the night going with drinks and dancing at The Club at Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs. From 9 pm – 2 am, DJs keep the party going with a mix of old-school tunes and modern California vibes.

SUNDAY

Head to Farm’s secret garden setting for a breakfast inspired by France. From omelettes to crepes to jams made in-house, it’s all served from 8 am to 2 pm.

Pick up some stylish sunnies from one of Palm Spring’s deftly curated vintage shops. The Frippery and The Fine Art of Design should have you shielding your eyes in style in no time.

Spend your last afternoon in Palm Springs at Moorten Botanical Garden, the only cactarium in the world or head back to your hotel – don’t forget your new sunnies! – for a colourful afternoon by the pool.
