Meet Marilyn in New York City

I am a pink-haired, adventure-seeking, romance-loving photographer. I have a real passion for the beautiful outdoors, and my photography reflects this through my use of natural light. I gravitate towards a bit more dreamy, light imagery rather than darker tones. Because of my passion for nature, I often shoot in the wild, and have shot for brands such as Parks Project, which benefits National Park conservation. I do live in NYC though, so I use this affinity for greenery as my motivation to get outside and seek out all the urban wonders New York has to offer!

    Favourite Place to Shoot: Anything with a great view of the sunset, like DUMBO, or in one of the many beautiful parks with views of the skyline.

Three Things

  1. When I'm not out with my camera (which isn't very often!) I love to explore other creative art forms. I am a figure skater, dancer, and dabble with any arts and crafts I can! I am also an arts and craft coordinator at a summer camp in the Sierra mountains of California, so any chance I get to practice some new crafts is always fun. If I'm not doing art, I love walking dogs, and rock climbing at a local gym!
  2. I couldn't live without ice cream - or maybe just desserts in general. It seems silly to think that I couldn't LIVE without it, but it does make me truly happy.
  3. I was (still am) a pretty huge book nerd, and in high school I was voted "Most Likely to Win The Hunger Games" not due to some unique strength, but due to my unconditional love for that book series. Along that vein, I would also dress up in costume in high school to celebrate the release of my favorite books or movies, just for the fun of it!
