Meet Katie in Denver

I am a mountain-loving dog mom, wife, skier, hiker, singer in the shower, pizza lovin' kind of chick! I love a good mushy love story and I love being with my family when I'm not behind a camera. My photography style includes a lot of movement and cues to do fun things together to create laughter and natural looks. I don't like to pose too much but instead I help people move in their own natural way while having fun! I am also all about using the sun to my advantage and getting full wide shots with all the scenery we can get into the shot.

    Favourite Place to Shoot: The South Boulder Creek Trailhead. It has the same view of the Flatirons but a lot less people than Chautauqua. It's easy to get to and the view is amazing.

Three Things

  1. I love waking up and making a great cup of coffee and sitting with a book to have some "me" time. I love to go skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. On lazy days, I love to hang out on my deck with a good fire and a cold drink with my husband and my crazy cattle dog. I love relaxing with some good music, drinks and food.
  2. I cannot live without music. I love so many genres of music and watching live music is one of my favorite activities. My husband plays the saxophone and we love seeing live jazz shows but also love heading up to Red Rocks Amphitheater to enjoy anything from country to electronic music. I love the endless possibilities with music.
  3. In another life, I would be a pop singer. Not for the fame - I just love to sing and be theatrical. This is all in my own home, I am not one of those people who auditions or anything like that, but singing and dancing is one of those feel good things for me. Plus, I think creating music videos would be so cool. Another fun fact is that I love pandas, I want to hold one or be held by one. It's a long shot but they look so cuddly!
