William & Jordan's Proposal Story in Vancouver

What is your love story?

I was changing jobs from overseas to southern Arizona, USA when we met. She being a nurse and I was active duty military, had to make things work with living over an hour away and conflicting work schedules; time together being as little as half a day. I think I knew she was always the one; her constant devotion, understanding, and ability to work and communicate through the more serious and less glamorous aspects of a relationship made me feel loved and desired. I found someone who wasn't just here for my good days, but also someone who loved me despite my failures and accepted regardless of my shortcomings.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

I chose this place because Jordan loves plants and flowers and I knew that the Queen Elizabeth Quarry Gardens was a good choice since we we're planning on being in Vancouver for our 2 year dating anniversary.

What is your proposal story?

We began the day early on a whale watching trip in the Strait of Georgia. We had lunch on Granville Island, and then walked around the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens and Bloedel Conservatory. After what seemed like forever, we made our way down to the Queen Elizabeth Quarry Gardens where Lorenza, my photographer, was waiting. I took Jordan by both her hands and explained to her how much she meant to me how the last 2 years with her have been the happiest I'd been. Dropping to a knee, pulled out the ring box, and with Lorenza and other strangers trying to enjoy the gardens watching us, I asked Jordan to marry me,...and she said yes.
