Bir-Hakeim Bridge & Eiffel Tower is our most-booked proposal route, while Trocadéro offers the classic head-on Eiffel Tower view. The Louvre & Palais Royal is best for elegant architecture, The Seine & Eiffel Tower for a later-day riverside proposal, Sacré Coeur & Montmartre for neighbourhood character, and Île Saint-Louis & Notre Dame for historic Paris views.

Bir-Hakeim Bridge & Eiffel Tower and Trocadéro & Eiffel Tower are our two most-booked Paris proposal routes. Bir-Hakeim frames the Tower through the bridge’s iron archways and offers more timing flexibility. Trocadéro provides the classic, unobstructed view and works best early in the morning. The Seine & Eiffel Tower is a strong option for couples who prefer river views or a later start.

For most outdoor Paris locations, morning offers softer light and fewer people: More than half of our over 600 Paris proposals took place between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m., and 8 a.m. was the most common start hour. However, the best time depends on the route. Trocadéro strongly favours early morning near sunrise, while The Seine & Eiffel Tower is often chosen at 4 p.m. or later.

Sunrise is usually the best choice at Trocadéro if you want the classic Eiffel Tower view with fewer people: More than half of our Trocadéro proposals start before 9 a.m. But it is not the only iconic Eiffel Tower option. Although before 9 a.m. offers the best light, more of our Bir-Hakeim proposals start after 9 a.m., making it a more flexible choice for couples who do not want an early wake-up.

No major Paris landmark can guarantee complete privacy, but your choice of route and time can make a meaningful difference. Early morning is best for popular viewpoints such as Trocadéro. For a more intimate atmosphere, consider quieter corners of Sacré Coeur & Montmartre or the riverside streets around Île Saint-Louis & Notre Dame. Your photographer can recommend the exact meeting point and timing for your plan.

Choose your photographer, package and preferred Paris route, then share the proposal plan privately with your photographer. Before the shoot, you will coordinate the meeting point, where to stand and the signal or moment for the proposal. Your photographer will photograph the surprise discreetly, then continue with celebratory portraits afterward.

December offers a festive holiday atmosphere, while spring brings longer days and gardens in bloom.
