We both share a love for travel and the water so there was no other option than one of the most romantic coastlines in the world

The day was perfectly planned months in advance and the we woke up to storms so after a last minute change of plans and convincing my girlfriend she was about to have to walk a castle in heels the sun came out and we had to most perfect proposal on the coast at sunset

What is your love story?

At first sight! Becoming a couple and living together for years only confirmed what was obvious from the very begining.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

This is a beautiful and romantic destination which told me about on several occasions. We love Italy, she really wanted to come to the Amalfi Coast for our holidays so it was an easy pick.

Best tip for proposing in Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast has many great spots and picking one really depend on what you are looking for, what are you preferences in terms of landscape. Beware, while the access to the Ravello Gardens at the villa Cimbrone is included with any booking you have at the hotel, photoshooting there cost a (steep) extra (regardless of whether you are staying at the hotel) which I've been told about pretty much on the day - not the best surprise, especially if you didn't budget for it! Staying at the hotel is therefore not mandatory to photoshoot in the gardens. Also, I would highly recommend going for a stay with a swimming pool - the best spots on the Amalfi beaches can quickly be very expensive as beaches are mostly private so having a swimming pool where you are staying is definitely a big plus which your partner will thank you for! Nothing beats being able to relax in a pool with a view on the sea or the coast.

What is your love story?

We met in the last two weeks of high school and both went to college on the opposite ends of the country- even though our long distance didn’t last long (just a semester) we knew it was worth it because we are soul mates.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

The beautiful coast line and romantic hotel and amazing people.

What is your proposal story?

I told her we should watch the sunset from the beach, so we went to the beach and I told her we should take some pictures, I then told her I should get one of her looking out at the sea- she turned around and I got on one knee and she turned back and freaked out (and said yes)!

Olivia and I met in university and we both shared a love for traveling and hiking.

I wanted to do something a little more private and the Regina Giovanna was the perfect setting for what I was looking for.

Nervous! I almost forgot the ring in my bag. I had to pretend to move my bag closer to the shoot location so that I could get the ring!

What is your love story?

I had known Afke since high school as she was one of my cousins best friends. We started talking the start of Summer 2015, and then I went away for work for a few months. I had a crush on her for awhile while I was away and I told my cousin to make sure she was going to be at our local bar when I got home so I can finally talk to her. We bonded over our love of sushi, sitcoms, and the desire to one day travel the world which we have just begun.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

I fell in love with Italy when I went there when I was 16, and knew I would want to propose to my future wife there. We both were so excited for Positano and it is so beautiful, I knew that would be the perfect place!

What is your proposal story?

Having an Italian background, I convinced my girlfriend we were going to meet my second cousin and developed a story of how he is a photographer who would love to take pictures of us. When we met our photographer, Andrea went along with it and pretended we were family. He put us on the beach and lined us up back to back, and I proposed as she turned around. We were both so nervous and excited! I am glad to have Flytographer capture these moments.

What is your love story?

Francesca and I met at Rollins College and were randomly paired together as freshman roommates and immediately became best friends. Over the course of our college years our friendship grew into love. Love that is unconditional, adventurous, and truly one of a kind. Over these past five years we have had many challenges and celebrations but have always remained united. It is hard to say the exact moment when I knew Francesca was the one because it was a bunch of little moments pieced together. Like the time we got stuck in a gazebo in the pouring rain and just stayed and talked all night, when she made pesto with chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-A to tell me she was going to love me forever, when we brought home our puppy August, and so so many more.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

Francesca loves sunsets, the beach, walking through small towns, photography, travel and Italian food. Her family is also originally from Italy so Positano was the perfect combination of all of her favorite things.

What is your proposal story?

I was very nervous for the proposal. Francesca had been hinting for months about the ring she wanted and getting married so I was almost positive she would say yes but it was still terrifying. When we got to the proposal spot near the beach in Positano I told her that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her and continue our adventure together then asked will you marry me? She said yes!

What is your love story?

Melissa and I met at the University of Victoria during our undergraduate studies. We quickly became close friends, but she captured my heart from those first moments. After 6 months of friendship, we started dating and have been together almost 5 years. When did I know she was the one? Almost instantly - we were inseparable and I couldn't stop smiling! I still haven't :)

What made you choose this proposal destination?

From the moment we first met, we both expressed our love of travel and in particular our love of Europe. Her love of Italy made the choice of the beautiful Amalfi Coast an easy one.

What is your proposal story?

Walking in a beautiful garden in Ravello, overlooking the beautiful coast below, we paused to take some selfies. Nearby, our photographer Andrea was posing as a tourist taking pictures of the gardens. I asked Andrea if he could please take a picture of us with my phone, and once he returned my phone that was the moment I held Melissa's hand and popped the question! She said yes!
