Parlament restaurant was easily our favorite. The atmosphere was refined but accessible to anyone. The food was delicious Czech favorites with options for food we had never heard of. Get all the dumplings!
We enjoyed the view from the top floor of the museum of science. MUST SEE! We also enjoyed seeing Prague castle and walking through old town. You can’t go wrong here!
Leave early in the morning to get the best views and beat the crowds. We were up and out the door by 0630-0700 everyday and it was worth it to have so many places essentially to ourselves.

Lokal is the BEST bar and restaurant. So casual, and fun, delicious food and drinks!
We love doing castle tours, boat rides, visiting Charles Bridge (morning is less crowded!), Lego Museum, and Praha Zoo is amazing!! We also love finding fun statues around the city. There's so much architecture and history to explore, there's always something to find and do.
Plan extra time between tours/schedules. Definitely visit Charles Bridge and Old Town in the morning or less busy hours. My kids loved the Lego Museum, kids museum at the Narodni Museum, eating chimney cake ice cream cones, and riding the public transportation. There's plenty of familiar food flavors like schnitzel (chicken nuggets) and fried cheese (mozzarella sticks).

We loved our dinner at Kampa Park restaurant. It was very romantic to be by the Charles bridge all illuminated at night and watch the passing boats. The food matched the views and was superb!
A private tour of the 17th Strahov library with books dating from the 1200s was unbeatable- best to email them months before especially during peak season as slots are limited.

More than anything I really enjoyed the little cafés where I just got coffee and dessert. There were a few fabulous little places and I even found 2 places that had multiple cats roaming freely throughout the restaurants!
Honestly, everywhere you go it's absolutely gorgeous. My favorite part was walking around the streets, without an agenda, just taking it all in. It was fun finding all of the Cerny statues too! I also did a private walking tour with a local who showed me some of her favorite local spots. There was also a cool installation at the library.
Prague is a fantastic place for solo travel! I always felt completely safe. The photo shoot with Eliška was definitely a highlight as was the private walking tour that I booked with a local. It was great to have the local perspective and to be able to enjoy coffee and dessert with such interesting people!

Definitely wear comfortable shoes and backpack so you can use your hands to eat while walking.
I normally hate zoos, but the Prague Zoo is one of the best in the world and I had to admit it was pretty amazing. Not just for the kids, but for everyone.
Get breakfast at burgring1. Order a quiche and their hot chocolate or a coffee drink. Checkout Prague castle and walk the long path starting at the bottom of Petrin Lookout tower. Also drink the beer wherever you go and checkout the Hemingway bar late at night!
Visit the Charles Bridge early in the am with some coffee. Enjoy it before the madness!
Get up early to beat the crowds to Old Town Square & Charles Bridge. Any place that has a tower to climb, get up there! The views are just incredible throughout the city. I liked the astronomical clock tower view the best.

Get outside the main city center and tourist attractions. You will find the best places to go in some of the tinier streets. Also, the Honest Guide was very helpful in planning our trip! The Instagram handle is @realhonestguide where you can also find their YouTube videos.

Definately the library at the monastery - it took my breath away and our guide said the library is her favorite spot in prague. As for restaurants - Cafe Savoy is a must.
Go to the top of the Petrin Hill tower at sunset and get the most incredible view of the city of Prague! You will not regret it .
Prague is a bastion of musical talent. Don't miss a chance to hear one of the innumerable orchestral performances happening almost nightly in churches across the city. Just walk in off the street to be transported to another place and time, if you don't feel that way already.
The Letna Beer Garten has spectacular views of the city. I loved starting from the Kampa Park, walking through Mala Strana and making the trip up the hill to the garten.
The upper ridge behind the city offers views of the river and have some cool historical buildings!

Prague looks a lot more romantic without the tourist crowd, so try sightseeing during the early morning! You've got to be up really early in the morning if you want to take good pictures without much crowd!
We loved the Four Seasons Hotel and Hergetova Cihelna
Definitely see the interior of St. Vitus Cathedral. The stained glass is crazy gorgeous with the sun streaming through in the morning. We hired a tour guide for 1/2 day and that was a great overview of the city.
We loved walking up to Prague castle. The views from the castle are beautiful, and the winery near the entrance is a must visit!
