What is your love story?

I knew Devin was the one from the moment I met him on our first date. We were walking on the beach before dinner, just talking and getting to know each other, and as we were walking, he grabbed my hand and didn’t let go until the end of our date later that evening. It was truly a magical moment!

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We both love autumn and cool weather, so Maine felt like the perfect location!

What is your proposal story?

Devin knew about our photographer and thought we weee just getting cute couple fall pictures. Little did he know, I had a beautiful ring in my back pocket just waiting for that right moment.

Daniel & Giovanna's Proposal Story in Portland, Maine

How did you meet?

Bumble

What is your love story?

The night of our first date was the best night I had in years and I knew I couldn’t be without her. Many people don’t believe in love at first sight and I didn’t either. But then I met her and at that point my only purpose was to make her happy and keep her in my life.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We are currently trying to visit all the national parks so Maine was next on our list. Giovanna is absolutely in love with Portland so I figured that’s the spot.

What is your proposal story?

Our day was filled with laughs, exploring, great food and drinks. And ended with me proposing to the love of my life.

Devin's Proposal Story in Portland, Maine

What is your love story?

Hannah and I met while working for the same non profit in California. I was assigned to be her new staff "buddy" when she first started. We have a running joke that I was never allowed to be a buddy again since I started dating mine after a few months. Lost out on many free lunches but, it was worth it!

What made you choose this proposal destination?

Portland headlight is an iconic location and Maine is my fiancés home. It felt right after moving across the country with her to take our proposal photos in a place that represents our new place of residence!

What is your proposal story?

I told Hannah that we were getting New Years photos taken of us as a fun thing to do. We went to Portland Headlight and started our session with the photographer. Then the photographer presented an idea. Laura instructed us to stand back-to-back and write their 3 favorite things about each other on chalkboards, then we would turn around and reveal our signs for the other to read and enjoy. I wrote, "Will You Marry Me?" while Hannah tried to think of over things besides, "Your Butt" to write on her sign. On the rocky coast beneath the picturesque lighthouse we turned around and I held my question out to her. After a few moments, I got down on one knee and asked my best friend, "Will You Marry Me?".
