Our kiddos were both jet lagged during our photography session and we also happened to be doing our photos on a chillier morning than expected, yet Mankica somehow managed to bring out the enthusiasm in our kiddos! It should also be noted that the morning we originally had our photos scheduled for was calling for rain, so Mankica connected with us and made arrangements to reschedule our session for an alternate day without rain in order to give us the best experience possible. We were so so happy with the final photos and can’t recommend Mankica enough! ”
“ We LOVED our photos and LOVED Mankica! She was so professional and knew all of the best places to shoot. She made us feel comfortable and was willing to shoot anything we requested. We wanted to re - create an old flytographer photo of ours. It is the one that we are so honored is displayed on the cover page of flytographer's website! She helped us coordinate this and was so patient with us since our son is now 10 years older, taller, and bigger than he was when we first started using flytographer. What a difference 10 years makes! She didn't make us feel awkward when we were trying to create different poses and shots. She is a true professional and you can tell she cares a lot about her craft! “ This review is way overdue - Mankica was fantastic! She suggested a 5:50am start time, which I initially thought must be a mistake, but she explained how quickly Ljubljana’s center gets crowded and hot later in the morning. She also offered to meet later if we preferred, but we decided to trust her advice (especially since we were still on California time anyway). She was absolutely right; within an hour the city was bustling, and we were so grateful for the calm, cool morning photos. Mankica did a wonderful job making our family feel comfortable, even though we were a bit jet-lagged and awkward at first. She was also incredibly flexible - my father-in-law happened to walk by our shoot while out on his morning walk, and she immediately included him in some of the portraits. Those turned out to be some of my very favorite images, and it meant so much to us (especially since he usually avoids photos!). Her communication throughout was clear, frequent, and reassuring, which made the whole process smooth. The photos themselves are beautiful and captured not just the setting, but our family’s personality. The only tiny piece of feedback is that two cityscape-only shots were included in our gallery. While they were gorgeous, we personally would have preferred two family shots instead of those, but that’s just a small note in what was otherwise an amazing experience. Besides the beautiful portraits she took, making us feel comfortable, and suggesting an early start time, the other thing I appreciated about her was her communication with us. She communicated with us frequently and clearly. This was overall a great experience, and I highly recommend Mankica as a photographer if you’re traveling to Ljubljana. Although we were jet lagged (and the airline had lost our luggage so we didn’t have most of our clothes!) one of the top highlights of my family’s entire 3-week trip to Europe this summer was the photo session with Mankica. She is a lovely person and I would 100% re-book her and recommend her to anyone else. ”
