What is your love story?

Ever since our first kiss I knew. She is my person!

What made you choose this proposal destination?

She once before visited Amsterdam years ago, and ever since she would talk about going back and maybe someday even living there for a while. So I know it was special to her. A couple of Christmas’ ago, a bought her a big canvas picture of a scenic street in Amsterdam. She loved it so much that I had the idea that once I got the courage up to propose, I would do it in that exact spot. So that is what I set out to do.

What is your proposal story?

I was a nervous wreck! But the plan worked better than I expected. When told her the morning of the big day that I found the spot where the picture was taken she was excited. I had the photographer meet us at the bridge. When we got there, there was a lot of traffic - people walking, on bikes, and in cars moving through our photo shoot. I was worried that we wouldn’t get the shot, our photographer Joanna was really good at navigating through the crowd to get pictures. Then suddenly there was a break in the traffic and it gave me the opportunity to get down on one knee. When I did, everyone walking, on bikes and in cars came to a complete stop to watch. It was like a movie when see said yes, everyone erupted into applause! It was truly magical and better than I could’ve hoped for. Especially since I forgot the words that I wanted to say. LOL!

What is your love story?

My fiancé and I met in high school playing basketball together. I knew she was the one when I met her, I loved her the moment I got to know her sweet soul and amazing heart. I knew she would be my best friend for the rest of my life.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

I heard Amsterdamn was very romantic and a boat canal seemed to be the perfect answer!

What is your proposal story?

I told my fiancé we were meeting our friend for a fancy dinner reservation and I brought her to a private boat tour where our flytographer met us inside the boat. The boat driver and photographer acted that they worked together for commercial reasons to keep my photo shoot a secret. Once we passed the 7 bridges the boat played our favorite song and I proposed to my fiance. The photographer captured the most beautiful photos I could have ever asked for!

Best tip for proposing in Amsterdam

Be careful for unexpected rain and try to prepare for weather in advance! A private boat tour with a photographer on board such a romantic idea!

What is your love story?

We both moved to NYC after college and met on a dating app. After a few dates getting to know one another, we found we were highly comparable with one another in a way neither of us thought possible. Sometimes the puzzle piece just fits. To this day we’re surprised we found each other. 

What made you choose this proposal destination?

Although we both love the outdoors, we absolutely love cities. Amsterdam not only looked like a beautiful location to propose, but we both fell in love with the city the instant we stepped foot in it. We booked a trip that started in Amsterdam, and it’s fun and unusual urban vibe made this the perfect location for us. This wonderful destination will forever hold a special place in our hearts. 

What is your proposal story?

After a full day of exploring, including a walking tour, Dutch pancakes, exploring the market in de pijp, and a drink at a De Tulp, we went back to our Airbnb to freshen up before dinner. On the way to the restaurant, we made a pit stop at Magere Brug, or the skinny bridge, to take a photo. Next thing you know, we’re engaged!

What is your love story?

I actually met Casey through my best friend during high school. He randomly gave me her number and I decided to text her. We didn't meet until a couple of months later at a football game and had a wonderful time together. We started dating shortly there after and have been every since! She recently graduated College, and I have known that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her for a while now, and felt it was finally time to propose. So, I decided to do it on our trip to Europe and now, after over 5 and a half years of dating, we are happily engaged!

What made you choose this proposal destination?

I had heard numerous wonderful things about how beautiful the Jordaan area in Amsterdam is, with all of its canals and bridges. The quiet of the area also made it even more perfect. It was an absolutely amazing location to propose. I highly recommend it!

What is your proposal story?

The proposal went perfectly! Our Flytographer, Tania, was incredible and we had the most beautiful sunset that night. My (now) Fiancee was so surprised and of course said yes! It truly couldn't have gone better and I wouldn't want it any other way!

What is your love story?

I met my Fiance through my best friend, who is her older brother. I remember the first day I went with him to his house, I saw her, and I immediately told him "I am going to marry your sister". It was said in jest, at least everyone thought. As I came over more I realized that she was not only beautiful, she was smart, kind, witty, and overall the embodiment of the perfect woman. I knew she was the "one" almost always, only time solidified that.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We were going on a family trip with her family and mine, she is very family oriented and I wanted her to share this experience with her family. They have become mine and becuase of them we are together to this day. Along the trip, there were many perfect places, but the Tulip fields in Keukenhof seemed like the most perfect.

What is your proposal story?

The proposal went off without a hiccup. Everyone worked in tandem to ensure that she suspected nothing. I couldn't decide on the perfect place, afterall, you only do this once, and finally, the family decided for me since I would have taken all day to find the "perfect" place.
