I’m a documentary photographer and lifelong Londoner. My photographic style can be described as documentary with an emphasis on capturing the humour in the everyday coupled with a relaxed, unobtrusive camera manner. Photography allows me to connect with weird and wonderful people and places in a special way, creating memorable snippets of the world for people to keep forever. I've undertaken assignments for Nokia, STA Travel and Hello magazine.
- When not behind a camera I listen to music, go to the cinema and paint figurines, in that order (not really). I also try to travel when possible and love wandering around without a map!
- I couldn’t live without music. It keeps me ticking over.
- I’m half Finnish but only know how to ask “Where is the nearest chemist?” and basic pleasantries – thanks, mum! I went to “Circus School” in my early teens (alongside “proper” school, I hasten to add) and can still juggle and ride a unicycle, even though it’s been years since I’ve owned any juggling paraphernalia.
Favourite Place to Shoot in London
I love the view from Waterloo Bridge. Close to the hustle and bustle of the South Bank too!
English, basic Spanish, fluent in chemist-finding Finnish.
Customer Love for Dan
"I worked with Flytographer to photograph my engagement and it was absolutely incredible! Dan could not have been nicer, better at capturing the moment without any suspicion, or have taken more beautiful pictures. That was one of the most special moments in our lives and we will now have the memory framed forever. — Charles (see blog post here)
Dan is available for shoots anywhere in the London area but will travel anywhere — seriously, anywhere — for the right shoot!
