Meet Gráinne in London

Hello, I am an Irish photographer enjoying family life in London with my hubbie and our two boys. During the past two decades I've been fortunate enough to travel and live in many different parts of the world, including China, where my boys were born, the USA, Australia, India and West Africa. Travelling through these places definitely led me to a career in photography. I appreciate great locations and love to connect with people and to hear about their life experiences during a photo shoot. My approach to each assignment is playful and fun and I hope that comes across in my work. I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography from Ireland.

Three Things

  1. When I am not behind the camera or on the school run with my boys you will find me in the yoga studio working on my tree and chair poses. I can’t say I am always the most balanced in the studio but it’s great fun trying.
  2. I can't live without good music, it is essential in our household!
  3. The biggest surprise often comes in how to pronounce my Irish name. Lots of people call me Granny - that’s ok - but my name actually sounds more close to Gronja.

Grainne did an amazing job! She quickly established rapport with my wife and I and made us ready for our shoot. She worked her magic and made us feel like we were the only ones who mattered in a sea of people. My wife and I were very impressed with all of our images! We couldn’t recommend Grainne more! She photographed our proposal, and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Her attention to detail was outstanding. We planned everything together beforehand, and on the day she was incredibly discreet while also suggesting a few natural poses afterwards. She was professional, friendly, and made us feel completely relaxed. Even though a proposal can feel a bit embarrassing with other people around, Grainne made it feel like it was just the three of us. We were able to enjoy every moment without feeling self-conscious. Highly recommended!
