We believe photography should never feel rushed or transactional. Every session is personal and thoughtfully guided, from choosing meaningful locations to advising on the best light and timing. Masa holds a Montessori education certificate and respects each child’s individuality and pace. No forced poses, no pressure — just calm guidance and genuine emotion.     Favourite Place to Shoot: Asakusa, Shibuya, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, I also enjoy traveling about an hour by train to photograph a more authentic side of Japan like Mt. Fuji & Hakone.

Three Things

  1. We love activities like travel, camping, snowboarding, hiking, and cooking. Among these, our favorite is traveling. Masa has been to more than 80 countries so far. Since getting married, we have embarked on photography trips to more than 30 countries around the world. Our favorite is the Arctic Circle. We really enjoy meeting new people and discovering new places. And the time we spend with our children is the most important time in our lives.
  2. Of course, it's the camera that's always by our side. Even on our days off, we carry it with us and snap photos whenever a great moment presents itself. We always aim to capture the natural expressions of children in our photos. Whether they are crying, angry, or laughing, we want to document them just as they are. Masa has obtained a Montessori education certificate focused on working with young children, and approaches with the utmost respect for each child.
  3. Instead of visiting only the famous, crowded spots, try stopping by a small local temple or shrine—somewhere not many tourists go. These are the places where locals actually spend time, and you can really feel the calm, peaceful atmosphere. I think that quiet moment, just taking it all in, is one of the most special experiences you can have here.

Masa was incredible to work with for my proposal while travelling. He had excellent communication and gave helpful suggestions for the proposal logistics beforehand. On the day of, he went the extra mile by dressing incognito and hiding with his initial photographs to ensure the proposal was a surprise. He prioritized what was important to us (capturing authentic and candid moments) without the photo session superseding the romantic experience. He was impressively quick in sharing the final photos and they were fantastic shots. I am forever grateful for Masa's role, skill, and experience in helping me with a successful proposal!

Fantastic experience. Masa was extremely accommodating, professional but fun. Much better than taking picture with a phone. We got create photos on my daughter including some non-planned candidate shots I could not have got myself. 10/10 would recommend.

Masa and Asami not only provided fantastic photos but were also a pleasure to work with! They were helpful with planning and extremely accommodating. It’s stressful and daunting to plan a proposal, especially in another country, but they made everything super easy! As a non Japanese speaker, I was worried, but both photographers speak perfect English; there was no communication barrier at all! I highly recommend them.
