Hey - I'm Lena. I moved to Canada in 2018 and came to Tofino for the waves. Because I fell in love with life by the coast I decided to stay. The raw beauty of the island keeps inspiring me and it's an honour to be able to live here. I'm passionate about making everyone feel comfortable in front of a camera, making them feel seen and captured in their authentic beauty. I love shooting in natural light and making a shoot feel easy and fun, as being in front of a camera can be quite daunting. So I make always sure I offer support in any way I can. I've worked a lot in the Surf and Yoga Industry for Retreats, Brands and Events as well as with Couples and Families, Brand and Documentary shoots.

Three Things

  1. I'm a Surf and Yoga Instructor, which allows me to share two of my biggest passions with others and I'm currently going to school to become a professional counsellor. Self- and Body Acceptance through movement and photography is something I'm super passionate about and I'd love to combine all my skills one day.
  2. When I'm not taking photos you can find me surfing. It's what gets me out of bed even on a rainy west coast morning 🏄🏼‍♀️ In general I love being outside, hiking, running and adventuring on the island, practicing Yoga or having a picnic on the beach.
  3. Fun fact about me is that in 2019 I converted an old School Bus into a Tiny Home and drove it to the Arctic Ocean, and yes - I went for a dip. 🌊

More Information

Lena is available for shoots in Ucluelet and Pacific Rim Park for a minimum of 60min sessions and a $50 travel fee.

Lena was amazing to work with and she captured our family photos exactly as I had hoped she would! A combination of traditional and informal shots as requested. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to remember Tofino as a destination! 5 out of 5!

Lena was fantastic. We were visiting as a family and my nephew was injured, so he was a bit cranky and only wanted to be held. Lena immediately broke the ice with him and he warmed right up to her and throughout the session she rolled with whatever we needed. The session was also super fun and we're happy with the photos, even though we had a tough weather day, despite Lena taking the initiative to reschedule. Thanks Lena!
