I'm an Irish photographer enjoying life in Shanghai. My photography style is super natural, as I really don't like anything too staged or overly formal. I think a photo shoot is more holistic than simply taking photos - it's about connecting with people and making them feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Photo shoots are a brief moment in time and you want to capture that magic for people. In addition to family portraits, I also freelance for newspapers and magazines. I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography from Ireland.
- I love to eat out with my family in Shanghai. There are so many great restaurants to pick from!
- I couldn't live without my son and my husband.
- Prior to photography, I used to have an IT office job located in the basement of a building. There was no natural light at all, so it was hard to tell what time of day it was! People find this funny, as they can't visualize me in such surrounds.
Favourite Place to Shoot in Shanghai
It would have to be the former French Concession. The streets are full of charm and character.
