I am Raisa: Photographer. Entrepreneur. Traveller. Based in Costa Rica and the Netherlands, and on either sides of the world: always at the beach.Photography is my tool to show people how I see the world. Full of amazing places, filled with the most loving people and with details telling real stories. My Inspiration comes from nature, traveling, and the most important of all: from people and their stories. The timelessness of pictures, and their quality are one of my main focus points. It's why I give it my all during assignments, focus on storytelling, and also photograph with a high quality medium format camera. I'm one of the few who shoots with a camera like this, especially in my fields of work. As a result of this, I have been an official Fujifilm x Photographer (ambassador) since 2019.

Three Things

  1. On my way to become a lawyer, I found photography. Or maybe photography found me. Either way it was love at first sight, and I never looked back since.
  2. I love to travel, surf, practice yoga, hang out with family, friends and other artists.
  3. My friends tell me they don't know anyone else who is as comfortable with themselves as I am. I'm introverted, bring a peaceful energy to the table (and shoot), and aim to let everyone be themselves as well.

Raisa was incredible! There was a tropical storm the day we originally planned to meet and she was so flexible and communicative with rebooking. At the shoot she was so patient and easy-going with the kids (who weren’t always the easiest subjects in the heat). We absolutely love the photos! And she was so prompt at sending the gallery. Costa Rica was a magical trip adventure for us and we’re so fortunate we have it captured so beautifully. Thank you!
