With 12 years under my belt, my photography experience includes an Associate in Fine Arts, an advanced background in film photography, teaching darkroom photography science to elementary students, studio production assisting, leading a luxury senior portrait studio, and numerous personal projects. I am best known for balancing my detailed and directive posing with candid photojournalistic images. Born and raised in sunny San Diego, I can honestly say there is no better city to make memories in! I love being out in nature, holistic living, and trying new food! but most importantly... I love LOVE!

Three Things

  1. When I'm not taking photos, I am often on a hike, watching a movie, listening to an audiobook (Fiction of course), and always talking about food. My husband and two dogs, Scout (Corgi) and Nala (Pit Mix) are usually with me and they love road-tripping just as much as I do!
  2. One thing I cannot live without is my emotional support water bottle. It goes everywhere with me so I stay hydrated. The few times I have lost it I felt so incomplete.
  3. A fun fact people are shocked to hear is that I am very introverted. While my job has required and trained me to be outgoing and talkative, it is not my natural state. Don't get me wrong, I love tearing up a dance floor, meeting new people, and making friends, but I need lots of downtime and quiet nights in to balance all the socializing my job requires :)

Alyse was very accommodating and worked with me to find the most ideal time and location for my family. She was great with our children and took beautiful photos. They loved playing her games, and the photos really captured their true personalities. I can't wait to create a gallery wall in our home.

Speechless! There are no words to describe how incredible-talented Alyse is in photography! We were a group of 5 and she incorporated all combinations possible and had a wonderful personality...she made my 9 year old SMILE! He dislikes taking pictures, well he had a lot of fun with this session. In fact, he saw the pictures and said "wow they look like AI did them, but I know it's not AI because I was there" lol...THANK YOU Alyse for capturing our family photos. Breathtaking!
