My style is warm, light, and full of movement. I prefer a prompt-forward approach during sessions rather than poses because it helps me capture the natural you! I believe that EVERYONE is photogenic, and it really shines through when you're comfortable so that is a top priority for me. I completed the Holland College photography program in 2021 and have been working hard to continue learning and improving on my technical and creative skills ever since!

Three Things

  1. I love to travel! I’ve checked 7 Canadian provinces and 9 countries off my list so far, with many more to go, of course. So far, my favorite place to visit has been Switzerland, but I’m off to Spain next, so we’ll see who comes in first after that!
  2. One thing I can't live without is coffee. I know how basic that sounds, but I guess it's basic for a reason! Who doesn't have a slight coffee addiction? I’ve worked at small-batch coffee roasters over the years, so I had access to the most delicious, fresh coffee at all times (for better or worse). As they say, all things in moderation, so I usually limit myself to one coffee a day to keep my hands steady and your photos sharp ☕️
  3. A fun fact about me is that I used to be a nanny in Northern Italy! But I only got about 3 months in before covid shut down the country (yup, I was in Lombardy in March of 2020 😯) and I had to head home but I think it still counts ✈️

Her warm, friendly personality made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and it truly shows in the final images. Lara is amazing. We love our photos very much! Lara has excellent photography skills and an ability to help us pose naturally. In such a short time, she was able to incorporate different angles and perspectives that showcase the beauty of the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac hotel. Lara was wonderful to work with for our photo shoot with our two young daughters. She was able to put them at ease and get some adorable photos. She was easy to communicate with and flexible about changing around timing due to uncertainty with the weather. Absolutely would recommend her for a shoot in Quebec City!
