Meet Masa and Asami in Matsumoto

Three Things

1. We love activities like travel, camping, snowboarding, hiking, and cooking. Among these, our favorite is traveling. Masa has been to more than 80 countries so far. Since getting married, we have embarked on photography trips to more than 30 countries around the world. Our favorite is the Arctic Circle. We really enjoy meeting new people and discovering new places. And the time we spend with our children is the most important time in our lives.
2. Of course, it's the camera that's always by our side. Even on our days off, we carry it with us and snap photos whenever a great moment presents itself. We always aim to capture the natural expressions of children in our photos. Whether they are crying, angry, or laughing, we want to document them just as they are. Masa has obtained a Montessori education certificate focused on working with young children, and approaches with the utmost respect for each child.
3. We genuinely love coffee — Masa roasts his own beans, brews specialty coffee, and occasionally runs small pop-up coffee stands simply for the joy of sharing it. Asami runs her own donut shop, and together we love creating things by hand and offering warm, thoughtful experiences. Our town is home to many wonderful coffee shops, cafés, and bakeries.
