Meet Masa and Asami in Matsumoto

Three Things

1. We love activities like travel, camping, snowboarding, hiking, and cooking. Among these, our favorite is traveling. Masa has been to more than 80 countries so far. Since getting married, we have embarked on photography trips to more than 30 countries around the world. Our favorite is the Arctic Circle. We really enjoy meeting new people and discovering new places. And the time we spend with our children is the most important time in our lives.
2. Of course, it's the camera that's always by our side. Even on our days off, we carry it with us and snap photos whenever a great moment presents itself. We always aim to capture the natural expressions of children in our photos. Whether they are crying, angry, or laughing, we want to document them just as they are. Masa has obtained a Montessori education certificate focused on working with young children, and approaches with the utmost respect for each child.
3. After years as a mechanical engineer, Masa's passion for photography led me to switch careers in 2012. Asami was a certified dietitian in Japan before, but she became a photographer due to her passion for photography. We love taking photos so much and we both wanted to interact with people rather than sitting in front of computers. Masa is engaged in artistic activities as a landscape photographer, showcasing his work in solo exhibitions and selling his photos. Asami runs her own donut shop as the owner. And together, we create and share YouTube / Podcast content focused on Japanese language and culture.
