New to Flytographer!

I’m Lauren, the photographer who makes your Hawaiʻi photos feel easy and stress-free. Originally from Milwaukee, I’ve called Hawaiʻi home since 2015. I understand how meaningful time here can be, and I love helping people leave with photos that truly reflect the feeling of their trip. My approach is relaxed and intuitive — sometimes calm, sometimes energetic — with clear guidance and an eye for beautiful light and natural moments, so the experience feels fun, effortless, and memorable.

Favourite Place to Shoot: Kaneohe, because the mountains are beautiful!

Three Things

I love photography because it lets people hold onto moments that would otherwise pass too quickly. What’s unique about my approach is how much I care about the experience, not just the final images. I focus on creating an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves, whether that means keeping things calm or bringing a little energy when it helps. With clear guidance and an eye for natural light and real moments, I aim to create photos that feel genuine and bring people back to how their time together actually felt.
A photoshoot with me feels relaxed, guided, and natural. I give clear direction, so you’re never wondering what to do (but of course, I also leave space for real moments to unfold).
I always recommend getting out on the water. A boat ride to see turtles or, depending on the season, whales and dolphins is a really special way to experience Honolulu. My husband is a boat captain, so I’m always happy to point people in the right direction.
