I am a warm soul who loves to hug! One of my passions is to enjoy life to the fullest as much as I can, and documenting those moments is one of the biggest gifts in the world to go back in time! To me, the most important things are family, art, nostalgia, love and good vibes... (and smoothies!!!) When photographing clients my goal is to capture connections, and how much love there is between them and their close ones. I would say that I have a very chilled and relaxed approach with my style, which is considered candid. I do a mix of posed and natural photos. With me you will feel more relaxed within minutes! I'll help you to pose and hear what you love.

    Favourite Place to Shoot: In the centre of the city, full of hidden gems. Suomenlinna is also only a ferry far away, and a beautiful peaceful place.

Three Things

  1. I love going through my photos where I see myself happy, doing something fun and enjoying life with my loved ones. I want to give those kinds of memories to my clients too!
  2. Sometimes photo shoot with me feels calm and relaxed, and sometimes also it's full of energy - running, dancing, hugging, sitting... Depending on the weather sometimes your photos will come out moody, sometimes light.
  3. If you're a foodie, I'll recommend you to try cinnamon rolls and salmon soup for sure! If you want.. you can try out Salmiakki - you might love it or hate it :D

Gerda is also available for shoots in Mustion Linna (a beautiful place within an hour from Helsinki!). And 2 hour minimum bookings in Yyteri Beach, Pori - one of the beautiful beaches in Finland (3h from Helsinki). Please inquire for more details.

Gerda was magical! Not only did she make the entire experience enjoyable for two jet lagged and freezing cold kiddos, the portraits we got back were better than I ever could have hoped for. I’m so grateful to her for capturing this for my family.
