My photography style can be described as natural, light, fun, with an editorial touch. I love candid moments and try to connect with my clients to make them feel comfortable and document the fun they have while travelling.

Three Things

  1. I spent many summers in Spain documenting weddings, and now am an international photographer covering the whole Caribbean. I've had the honour to work for National Geographic and other magazines, and have done a portrait for the Dutch King & Queen when they visited our islands.
  2. When I'm not taking photos, I love spending my time working at the local animal shelter. Together with a small team of dedicated people, we work on making the shelter as pleasant as possible for the animals.
  3. One thing I can't live without is animals - I am a crazy cat lady and proud of it. (Luckily most of my friends are too!)

Meeting Claudia at Kurá Hulanda felt less like the start of a photo shoot and more like setting off on an adventure with a very funny, very talented local guide. She led us through the neighborhood on a scavenger hunt for unique photo backdrops while sharing fascinating stories about the culture and history of the area. She introduced us to her friends (both human and feline!), giving us an enviable glimpse of local life in Willemstad. Along the way, Claudia pulled off an incredible magic trick: she made us forget our awkwardness in front of the camera and captured us at our most natural and genuine. Thank you, Claudia! We’ll treasure these images.
