Meet Kara in Charleston

I would describe my photography style as joyful and bright, with pops of color! I just love the warmth and happiness of memories filled with laughter and sunlight. A moment is fleeting; our little ones will not always be little and those we love will not be with us forever. Our memories of these moments hold some of the biggest treasures of our hearts. I have been featured in several local magazines (in my home state), awarded Best of Knot 2021 and 2022, published on different blogs such as Zola, Burnett's Boards, Peer Space - "12 Best Photographers in Charleston, SC", The Perfect Palette and more!

    Favourite Place to Shoot: Historic Charleston. The pastel houses, cobblestone streets and all the hidden gems you can find while exploring. Not to mention, the abundance of history.

Three Things

  1. I once wasted an entire roll of film to photograph my dog so I could make custom Pogs - who remembers those things!?
  2. In my spare time, you can find me at a local Mexican restaurant, snuggling on the couch watching movies with my little family, near the ocean looking for dolphins (or sharks teeth), or searching for estate sale treasures in the lowcountry.
  3. I am a grandma to 3 littles (bonus) and I have 4 bonus, ornery boys! I also went to jewelry school many years ago and learned how to fabricate gold, platinum and silver jewelry from scratch.
