    Favourite Place to Shoot: My favorite spot to capture images in Asheville is Craggy Gardens. It’s the perfect, short little hike up to an absolutely beautiful view of the Blue Ridge mountains. For me, I feel like it’s the perfect area to get a good sense of Asheville’s beauty.

Three Things

  1. I love photography because it freezes a feeling. Years from now, when the moment has passed and the details get fuzzy, a single photo can bring it all rushing back, the way it felt to laugh with your people, to hold someone’s hand, to just be in that exact moment. That’s what I want to give people.
  2. A photoshoot with me feels more like hanging out with a friend who just happens to have a camera in hand. I’m not the stiff, super-serious type, I’ll probably crack jokes, make you twirl in a field, or say something ridiculous just to get you to laugh for real. I’m all about keeping things relaxed, fun, and natural so you can just be yourself.
  3. Catch a sunset on the Blue Ridge Parkway, it’s unreal. Pack some snacks, bring a blanket, and soak in the views. It’s the kind of experience that makes you feel like time slows down a little… plus, it’s basically a free therapy session with a killer view.

Savannah was SO wonderful. We are all super-awkward in front of cameras but she immediately put us at ease. She was great with the kids, super efficient as it was crazy-hot out, and even gave us some pro tips on what to do in the area (spoiler alert: it ended up being our favorite day of the trip!). I'm telling everyone I know about Flytographer (this was our first time using it!) and I can't recommend Savannah highly enough.
