Meet Kim in Anchorage

I’m Kim—photographer, nature-lover, and believer that your vacation memories deserve more than phone photos. Alaska is wild, beautiful, and full of once-in-a-lifetime moments, and I love helping travelers slow down and capture them. I’ll gently guide you, so you never feel awkward or stiff, just comfortable and present. Expect natural light, true-to-color images, and a laid-back experience that lets you enjoy your trip while I take care of the rest.

Favourite Place to Shoot: Flattop/Glen Alps as it is a short park and walk spot. It's only about a 5 minute walk from the parking lot to shooting location, so is the most accessible. Though there is no shortage of trails with amazing views in Anchorage!

Three Things

  1. Some of my favorite things to do (but still lug my camera around) are fishing, hiking, and exploring new places. Aside from this, I love thrifting; "It's a thrill when it's a deal" hehe.
  2. Before becoming a full time photographer I worked in sales. It was a high-pressure job that did not feel authentic. Over the years, my passion for photography continues to grow and is part of my identity. When I told my friends I was moving from LA to AK they asked if I'd continue doing photography as a job. I replied that photography is a part of me. It is not what I do, it's WHO I AM.
  3. I always recommend experiencing Alaska beyond just sightseeing. Try dogsledding for a truly unforgettable adventure, go on a glacier cruise, or take an easy hike with big payoff views (you don’t have to be hardcore to see something epic here), and make time for one great meal—Alaska has some incredible, top-tier restaurants that highlight fresh seafood and local flavors. Those moments are what make a trip feel special.
