Travel Story
Venice was a bucket list trip and I knew immediately that I wanted to capture these memories forever. My husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights in Venice and loved wandering the streets and stopping to enjoy a drink/dinner/gelato along the way. Our sunrise shoot with Marta was a highlight of the trip. We met in St Mark's Square at 6:45 am to find it almost completely empty- it was magical! We were able to really enjoy the square and take in all the beauty of the buildings. Marta is not only a highly talented photographer, she also was a wonderful guide of the city and took us to the BEST hidden spots for photos. It was more than I could have dreamed of and I will cherish our photos forever!
Travel Tips
Highly recommend a tour of Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basilica. We did the hidden passages tour of Doge's Palace and it was extremely interesting and provided great insight into the history of Venice. St Mark's Basilica was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. We were so lucky that they had the lights on in the Basilica (a rarity from what I understand) and were able to see all the beautiful mosaic sparkling in it's full glory. It was breathtaking! I also highly recommend our accommodations. We stayed at Ca Maria Adele on the Dorsoduro and were treated like royalty. I can't wait to return to this hotel- I'm still dreaming about our experience there. It is located next to the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and steps from the Salute stop across from St Mark's Square. Very convenient location for exploring all of Venice.
