Thanksgiving in Tofino

Travel Story
My family decided to switch things up a bit this year, and headed off to Tofino for Thanksgiving with my boyfriend's family as well! Although they had met each other before, they had never spent more than an hour or two together, so I was a little bit nervous about how things would go. I don't know if it was the beautiful setting, or the wine, but everyone got along so well! On Thanksgiving we crammed into the tiny makeshift kitchen in the cabin we had rented, and made a full on Thanksgiving dinner; turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and SO MUCH pumpkin pie. All twelve of us (including two dogs) crowded around the table and enjoyed a delicious meal, and my family got to know and bond with my boyfriend’s family. This was such a fun trip, and I’m so grateful that we have these beautiful photos to look back on and remember this weekend.
Travel Tips
Food & drink: - Tacofino of course - pro tip: call in advance so you can pick it up and avoid the dreadfully long lines - Tofino Brewing Co - really fun to go for a tasting flight, but you can also take beer to go (if you like delicious beer!) - Sea Monster Noodle Box - it's the poor man's Noodle Box - Rhino Coffee House - delicious & quick breakfast in town Fun things: - Walking around the town is really fun, lots of little shops to go into and you can walk down to the water, it's so beautiful down there - The Roy Henry Vickers art gallery (if you're into art) is amazing. Actually even if you're not into art it's definitely worth checking out - There are tons of hiking trails to explore Accommodation: - Middle Beach Lodge - this is where my boyfriend and I always stay. There are cheaper options, but we love it there. They also have an amazing continental breakfast that, in my opinion, is worth the few extra dollars - Ocean Village - great cabins right on Mackenzie Beach, and dog friendly win win - Mackenzie Beach Resort - these cabins are also right on Mackenzie Beach and have outdoor fire pits for your use
