It had been six years since our last family trip, so we wanted to get away and spend time together while exploring a new and exciting destination that had something to offer for everyone. Tamarindo was a great choice with a balance of beach, food, culture, and adventure.
Travel Tips
El Chiringuito was a favourite restaurant. Great ambiance and if you go fishing you can bring in your catch and they’ll cook it for you! The farmer’s market was a great way to mingle with the locals, and a boat tour of the estuary showed us a different side of the bustling city (including a visit with crocodiles).
