Travel Story
Roland and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in December 2018. As a special gift, we received the opportunity to attend mass with Pope Francis and meet him in January 2019. We wanted to capture this special event and our 25 years. As we walked, hugged and talked around Gianicolo Hill and the Trastevere neighbourhood, the beauty, splendour and history of Rome mesmerised us. We are grateful and here is to love in the eternal city.
Travel Tips
We stayed at a fabulous bed and breakfast near the Vatican. We highly recommend it. In addition to Rome's famous historical sites, do check out all major papal basilicas - all four of them! They are steeped in history, culture and faith. Book a tour of the Scavi under St. Peter's Basilica. Try a food and wine tasting tour (Slow Food by Sunset). We booked one with our bed and breakfast and it was fabulous. Experience the food from the North to the South.
