I Left My Heart in Positano... Again

Route: Positano Village, Positano, Italy
Travel Story
My first time in Positano was three years ago, and I had never fallen in love with a place so hard and so quickly before. When my husband and I decided to return to Rome last month, I made sure to add a few days in Positano. Our trip was even better than last time. While we got to replicate some of our favorite experiences, such as staying at my favorite hotel and napping on the beach, we got to try new things such as taking a cooking class, spending a day in Capri, and of course booking a Flytographer photo shoot. Just like three years ago, I cried when we had to leave. I am my happiest here.
Travel Tips
Stay at La Tavolozza, a surprisingly affordable family-run, six-room hotel, with huge balconies and stunning views of the cliffs and sea below. I always feel like family whenever I stay here. My favorite restaurants are Lo Guarracino, La Cambusa, and Da Vincenzo. Take a cooking class with Marina in Cucina. We made fresh pasta, learned traditional Italian cooking techniques, and spent hours dining on the outdoor patio of her huge villa, a former convent overlooking the sea. Take a daytrip to Capri. Ride the funicular to the top of Monte Solaro and rent a boat around the island.
