Travel Story

This was our first international trip with our toddler and as a family of three! Many people asked us why we would do such a thing and travel across the world with our toddler. Traveling with a toddler is no doubt exhausting and challenging at times but I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. Being able to create these memories as a family and to expose him to different people and cultures are worth the long flights, the jetlag, and extra baggage fees. We hope that by opening his eyes up to a world beyond himself, he can learn to not only be tolerant but accepting of those who are unlike himself, to not only be open-minded but continuously strive to be a better version of himself, to be adaptable in circumstances that may be new and uncomfortable, and to discover that we are all very much alike no matter what country we live in, what language we speak, or what beliefs we have. The experiences and lessons learned from these trips are one of the greatest gifts we can provide him in life and quite honestly, are experiences of growth for me as well as it pushes me to overcome fears of the unknown and become even more adaptable as a mom and as a person. This is why we are grateful to be able to bring him along on this journey of exploring the world and to share with him this adventure we call life.

Travel Tips

Highly recommend taking a hop-on hop-off bus tour if you're traveling with young children. It's a great way to see all the popular sights while it's exciting for the kids to ride around town in a double decker bus! Some of the tour packages also include a Seine River cruise too! For families traveling to Paris, it's also highly recommended to carve out a day to visit Disneyland Paris! It was great to see the similarities and differences of this Disneyland, compared to the other ones around the world. The wait times for rides are shorter and the admission is cheaper than the one in California so I would say it's worth a trip! It's also an easy one-hour train ride out from the city center of Paris. It's definitely worth a visit!
