Travel Story

We were coming up on our 10-year anniversary and wanted to plan a trip to celebrate. New York has been on our list for a long time so we decided to go for it! With not a lot of time in NYC, we knew we had to make every moment count. From subway rides to strolls through Central Park our trip was one to remember. One of my favorite parts was watching the sunset while on the Brooklyn Bridge! Watching the sun set behind the city skyline was so beautiful, especially after having rainy days the past two days. Another favorite memory was seeing Moulin Rouge on Broadway. It was so incredible! Such talent!

Travel Tips

We highly recommend the rooftop bar 230 Fifth! It has a beautiful view and great indoor and outdoor spaces. We went during happy hour and it was the most reasonable rooftop bar we could find. We went back the next day! Another must-do is going to the top of the Empire State Building. I was on the fence about this because I was afraid it would be lackluster but it wasn't! The view was amazing and made for great pictures! If you want to see the Statue of Liberty but don't feel the need to go to Liberty Island, take the Staten Island Ferry. It is FREE and has great views of Lady Liberty as well as the Manhattan skyline. Lastly, if you are a pizza fan like us you should try John's of Bleeker Street. It is in the village and the pizza is delicious. The restaurant itself also has a lot of character and it is fun to see all the celebrity pictures.
