My husband, Alex, is Italian so it was only natural to spend part of our honeymoon in his hometown! Alex would tell me that I would LOVE the city, but you really do need to go to understand the hype. The energy, the whole different language, the delicious PIZZA, the endless espresso-drinking, the fashion and the locals were all aspects that added to the city’s edge. The authenticity of the city is what captured the real Italy.
Travel Tips
Take a stroll on Mergellina, have an espresso at Gambrinus Cafe, interact with at least one Neapolitan, have a whole pizza to yourself and definitely go to the opera — Naples, I love you!
