Travel Story
We had never been to Portugal before and we were so excited to spend time in Lisbon. We chose the Alfama area for our photo session because it is full of so much history and charm. We loved exploring the different shops & eateries down in Alfama! Our Flytographer shooter, Ana, was incredibly kind and helpful, not only during our shoot, but after as she gave us local eatery suggestions & places to see.
Travel Tips
Highly recommend taking a handmade tile class in Portugal. Portugal is known for their beautiful, hand-painted tiles; they adorn most surfaces (even the walls of the highway tunnels!) We took a class and made our own tiles and now we have some beautiful keepsakes for the rest of our lives. Definitely recommend sampling the wonderful wine Portugal has to offer as well! Don't forget good walking shoes, those slippery limestone pathways are no joke. Nor are the steep hills & stairways! If you have a chance to wake up early and explore the sites - Do it! We got to explore a lot of the historical sites before any other tourists were there and it was truly magical.
