Travel Story

My husband and I have traveled a lot, and even got engaged in Italy. We had taken a break from international travel since we got pregnant with our daughter, but when James was asked to be in his best friend’s wedding in Italy, we knew it was time to bite the bullet and take our first big family vacation. I’m so glad we did! Italy was so kid friendly, and the entire area around Lake Maggiore was just magical.

Travel Tips

Villino San Remigio was a fantastic place to stay! Pallanza was a cozy little town; big enough to have some amazing food, but small enough so it didn’t feel like a tourist destination. We really enjoyed getting pizza at Emiliana’s, pasta at Osteria degli Specchi, and Il Burchiello was delicious. We took a day trip to Laveno to take the Funivie bucket lift to the top for lunch with an amazing view of the lake. It was so nice to be able to hop on a ferry to head to the Borromean Islands and Stresa for half day adventures.
