A couple years ago before I met my now fiance, I stumbled upon a small fishing village while vacationing in the outskirts of Bellagio, Italy. I was by myself at the time and thought to myself how romantic of a place this was. Although euphoric and enamored by the intense tranquility and beauty of the village, I was a bit empty feeling in that I was enjoying it all alone. I had a thought that if I was to ever find the one, I would love nothing more than to take her here. Well a year later I did find the one and my vision became a reality! The morning of our engagement I told Jess to pretty up nicely because we were having a fancy breakfast at a castle before touring the grounds. While "walking to the castle" she was genuinely surprised when I dropped to one knee after deciding to stop briefly for a selfie together by Lake Como. The moment was incredibly romantic and peaceful. Not a soul was around except for a "discrete tourist" in the distance which was actually our lovely and most talented Italian photographer Paola! Although we never made it to the fancy breakfast at the imaginary castle, we had an amazing Italian breakfast in Bellagio shortly after;) Grazie mille to Paola, you are an incredible photographer and a beautiful soul!
