Travel Story
We've traveled a lot as a couple before kids and one of our all-time favorite places to go is Japan! We were excited to share Japan with our 23 month old son, Oliver, and 3.5 month old daughter, Esme. Our favorite memory was being able to spend quality time together as a family and see Japan through our kids' eyes!
Travel Tips
-Stay at the Ritz Carlton Kyoto- we cannot recommend this place enough! Their afternoon tea is also incredible whether you are a hotel guest or not! -Arashiyama Bamboo Forest- go early in the morning to avoid crowds -Eikan-do Temple -Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine -Kinkaku-ji -Ginkaku-ji -Juugo- amazing soba -Menkui Kinya- amazing udon and tempura -Get Starbucks at the Kyoto Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya location- I promise this will be the coolest Starbucks you will ever visit! -Stroll Higashiyama Ward -Day trips to Osaka and Nara (or stay in these cities if you have more time- both are amazing!)
