Travel Story
My husband and I have been to Banff a couple times in the past and knew it was the first trip we'd take after having a baby. WHEW, is it a lot of work to travel with a one-year-old, but getting to see familiar places and things through a different (and smaller) viewpoint is so rewarding. My favorite memory is the three of us sitting by the Bow River in the sunshine, playing with the river rocks. So simple, but so wonderful. A nice reminder that while there are so many big things in this world, sometimes it's nice to focus in on the little stuff.
Travel Tips
We cannot say enough good things about the breakfast at Tooloulou's in the town of Banff. It's a must-eat each time we visit. We also make it a point to get ice cream at Cows, no matter how cold it is outside! If you're visiting Banff, you have to make the drive up to see Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. So very picturesque and easy for all ages and abilities as both lakes are a short walk from their respective parking lots. If you're a little more adventurous, Parker Ridge trail pays off with stunning views and the Lake Agnes hike takes you to a wonderful little lakeside tea house nestled in the mountains.
