The Hofburg complex, once the imperial residence, sits in the middle of Vienna and comprises opulent palaces and squares. Start in front of the Looshaus building, at the main palace's entrance. There, you can marvel at the stunning Tuscan colonnade. Go through the arch and stop by the Spanish Riding School, home to the famous Lipizzaner horses — the gala room where they show their skills is incredibly gorgeous. After, head to the Austrian National Library and, time allowing, check the Maria Theresien Platz outside Hofburg, a square with more grand photo backgrounds for you. You'll surely understand why Vienna is known as the "imperial city."
