Vincent's Travel Tips for Tulum

What are the best places to eat and drink in Tulum?

Gitano - The tuna tostada was to die for, the cochinita pibil was the best we had! Taqueria Honorio's - Right in the centre of town, this is a local spot you must try for inexpensive and DELICIOUS tacos. Do not miss it! Atila - Great wine bar with awesome food options. Don't miss the coconut ice cream to finish off your meal. Bal' Nak - Best service! Also really great coconut ice cream.

What are the best things to do in Tulum?

Playa Santa Fe - Where we did our photos with Flytographer, but make sure to head out here before your shoot! An expansive beach, easy to find and free parking along the road (go earlier), and a view of the Tulum Ruins in the distance - wow! Chichen Itza tour - Book on Airbnb Experiences with Marco! The tour had a stop at a cenote, a cultural tour of Chichen Itza, and a stop in Valladolid for lunch which made for our favourite day (besides our photo shoot day). Papaya Playa Project - Great beach club, the beds are great, service is better! Sian Kaan Biosphere - You can book an experience for this on Airbnb Experiences. It's a protected biosphere that almost no one visits, and only about 15-20 minutes from Tulum. You can also do a tour of the Muyil Ruins before making your way to the lagoons & boat tour.

What is the best tip for a romantic getaway in Tulum?

Book outside of town/beach strip. The Sanah Villas were SO romantic and the most beautiful, relaxing get-away. The service is out of this world incredible, too.

Vinny's Travel Tips for Tulum

What is your best overall travel tip for Tulum?

Beautiful white sand beaches and warm, clear water. Don't bring nice shoes (dress shoes, heels, etc) as you won't be able to use them anywhere and they're not necessary. If you're prone to getting mosquito bites, then be prepared to get bit...a lot...especially at night and in any jungle restaurants or areas. Overall, Tulum is an incredible place with delicious local food and plenty of things to do to stay busy if laying on the beach isn't your thing.

Nilanjan's Travel Tips for Tulum

What is your best overall travel tip for Tulum?

Step away from the pricey beach restaurants and head to Tulum City (Centro) for a night to sip on mind blowing Mojitos at 'Batey' while listening to amazing live bands. This place is raw, unpretentious and hippie to the core. When hungry - try some local Mexican food at 'Don Cafeto' just around the corner.
