La Tejita Beach

Marvel at the otherworldly landscape of this beach on the southern coast of Tenerife. Start at Hermano Pedro Road and head to the shore for the breathtaking views of Montaña Roja, or Red Mountain, a heap of volcanic ash and debris at the far end of the beach. Walk along the blue sea for perfect shots of the mountain and the vast grey shoreline. You'll also get beautiful views of Mount Teide from afar, the iconic old volcano that dominates the island. During the day, you'll get the occasional kite surfers dotting the landscapes with their colourful kites. Sunsets are usually quiet and also perfect for pictures.
